The doctors  are Nigerian.

The nurses are Nigerian.

The police are Nigerian.

Even the armed robbers who snuffed his life out are Nigerian.

Nigeria didn't fail him, Nigerians did.

We have become callous as a people, not seeing other human beings as humanity, but instead as commodities, we view them using a value scale; 'what do I gain from doing this for this person?'

Then we bury our conscience under a mountain of religious platitudes, hoping to graft our way into heaven with pious religiousness and generous donations to wealthy clergymen.

Part of me wishes his soul doesn't rest in peace may it worry the conscience of those first responders that refused to see his humanity, and most especially may it plague the dreams of the Nigerians who decided it was ok to take a young mans life for a laptop and a phone, just like Macduff's ghost did to Macbeth, may they run mad and die painfully horrible deaths.
